recently i've been on an iPad/iPhone reading kick...and read the whole percy jackson series by rick riordan. they're kids books, but i thought they were pretty good...lots of greek mythology and action! yay!
AND there's another book coming out, but i don't know when. the series wrapped itself up nicely, but i found myself wanting to know what was going to happen to the characters after it ended...and i will! hah.
the bad thing is that now that i've started buying books on my iPad/iPhone, i no longer have anything stopping me from constantly buying books. there's no wait period between when i want the book and when i actually have the time to go down to a bookstore and pick it up. it's convenient, but so bad for me. bah.
there is an upside...there are free books available! and not just the classics, either. there's a publishing company, smashwords, that publishes free things. and so i've downloaded a couple of those so that i can read something...and spend less money.
i also like that iBooks syncs across devices. i can read some of a book on my phone, bookmark it, and have it pick up right there when i open the app on my iPad. yay apple!
