today is lame. and it is rainy. (雨が降っています。) it makes me want to go home and sleep, or at least sit under a blanket and not move. with something warm to drink.
and the rain makes paradise palms ridiculously crowded at lunchtime. bleargh.
i only like the rain when i can sit at home and not have to walk around in it all day. i actually like the rain at those times, it's nice to listen to and look at.

a young man lives on the 30th floor of a building. on rainy days, he takes the elevator all the way up to the 30th floor. on sunny days, he takes the elevator to the 12th floor and then walks the rest of the way. BUT he hates stairs. why does he do this?

HAHAHA! I finally figured this out... took me a while, and I had to read it well. The man can only go up to the 30th floor when it rains, because he is too short to reach the 30th floor button. so on sunny days when he doesn't have his umbrella, he pushes the 12th floor button. On days that he has his umbrella, he pushes the 30th floor button, cuz he can reach it with his umbrella :)
We should name the man Leah. haha.
i totally did not get that riddle until i saw the other commenter's.. comment, lol. the young man should just carry around a fashionable cane everyday! LOL
haha i've seen this riddle somewhere before, but i wasn't going to spoil it for everyone else :)
